The MLB-leading Boston Red Sox beat the Atlanta Braves to take 2 games out of 3 to win the first round of interleague play. Kason Gabbard was brilliant and struck out 7 over 6 innings. He allowed only 2 runs and scattered 6 hits while only walking 1 batter.
Our hero, Wily Mo Pena, went 1 for 4 over the weekend series with a long home run in the 1st game to help brace the game 2 loss with a win. Results for the series games: - Boston 13 - Braves 3
- Boston 0 - Braves 14
- Boston 6 - Braves 3
