Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens has had another successful day of "working out". Chris Girandola, of MLB.com, reported seeing the aging Rocket depart the training facility and walking entirely unassisted.
The 44 year old Texan's workout today consisted of a few minutes of light tossing from the Little League distance of 46'. Roger feels he will be ready to compete at the Little League level by the weekend.
He also wanted to clarify the reasons on his compromised discovery yesterday (see "On The Money ", broken to you first by SluggerWily.com). When queried about his "Dollar-Bill-Yoga" practices, he drawled, "Nothing's out of the question. If I come out of the first two decent, they'll pull me aside and I'm sure they'll talk." Cryptic, for sure! SluggerWily.com has unable to confirm what exactly Roger meant by the first two, but we believe this to be a reference to a mantra he has been reciting. Clemens further iterated, "Another important thing for me is more of a muscle-memory sort of thing." Christ almighty! If this is what they are teaching Little Leaguers in Texas, no wonder they are all armed to the teeth! |
