The Atlanta Braves came back with a vengence behind the strong pitching of John Smoltz to beat the Boston Red Sox 14-0 in the 2nd game of today's double-header.
Our Slugger Wily went 0-3 with a couple long balls as the rest of the team scattered only 3 hits. The Red Sox lead dropped to 9.5 games in the AL East with Baltimore being the closest contender to the MLB leading BoSox. The free-spending/free-falling NY Yankees have fallen into a tie for least amount of wins the American League East with their 18-23 record. |
