 Babe Ruth: a name synonomous with baseball itself. Moreover, a name also formerly associated with a curse on the Boston Red Sox. No! Say it ain't so! Yes, the Curse of the Bambino haunted the Old Town Team from 1918 until the glorious victory in 2004. But, what? A new curse? Has fate finally tipped its hand against the Evil Empire?!
 Without a doubt, the sale of Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox tore the heart out of the Red Sox and shipped the balance of power to New York. Here, it stayed through 2004, when the Red Sox finally chipped away at the legacy of the Bambino for good.
Or so we are told! Until now, everyone in Boston and New York has believed this story to be true. Red Sox Nation assumes the curse of the Babe ended with the 2004 title. However, SluggerWily.com has significant evidence that the "Curse of the Bambino" was reversed long before 2004. 
In 2000, the New York Yankees won the World Series in what amounted to be a crowning moment in modern New York sport and a the consolidation of a baseball empire. 4 titles in 5 years. Amazing, huh?
