Wily Mo Pena, hitting for Manny Ramirez during Boston's white-washing of the Atlanta Braves, hit the first pitch he saw deep over the Green Monster for his 3rd home run of the year.
His solo homer put the Red Sox ahead 13-0 in the 7th innning of the first game of a double-header. The Braves later added 3 but fell far short 13-3. The Yankees lost to the Mets, dropping them 11 games out of 1st place. |
