Down 5-0 in the bottom of the 9th, Sox bats finally warmed up and Oriole slopping fielding lended a hand to superb come-from-behind win 6-5.
Batting for Manny Ramirez, Slugger Wily lent a hand with a timely single following a David Ortiz double which scored an error-reached Coco Crisp. Pena scored (obviously) and everything else fell into place as the Red Sox batted around to score all that was required to beat the laboring birds! The Sox scored the six runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batsman. Hurrah for the 25-11 AL East leading, AL overall leading, and all of baseball leading Red Sox. In response to all the statisticians out there who won't stop emailing and calling me, yes, I've got it! For real. Wily Mo Pena hit 1.000 today. Yes, I knew it already and so does everyone else. There. Happy now? Huh? Of course I expected it. He's got a big stick. Give the man some more at bats! We'll take the "W"
