Wily Mo struck a hard and deep infield single to the Txeas short stop Michael Young, there was no play and Manny Ramirez scored on the chance. The Sox took the lead on that play. The Red Sox held on to beat the Rangers 2-1 in a tight game where Boston pitching racked up 8 strikeouts. The Sox record moves to 49-29 and 10.5 games ahead of the 2nd-place Toronto Blue Jays.
