In a candid conversation with Sluggerwily.com earlier today, Major League Umpire Bruce Froemming was quoted as saying "What do you guys think of the chick playing right field for the Tigers?
Maggie Ordonez? She's at least as cute as Tina Cervasio and her hair is much better. I personally think the league should allow her to wear makeup, and she should use the pink bat in every game." These comments by Froemming come as no surprise to anyone who has seen him behind the plate recently. Just two weeks ago he stopped a game to warn the players of a Grizzly in Right Field. Poor Coco thought he was going to be eaten until it was explained to him that Froemming is legally blind and mistakenly took the mammoth slugger Wily Mo for a bear. This disturbing trend is only going to get worse. An official with the Umpires Association says "more blind umps will be hired in an effort to correct past discrimination." and further added, "we now have brail rule books!" full story to come... |
