Wily Mo hit his 5th home run as a Washington National. Peña's 6th inning 2-run blast of Rick VandenHurk of the Florida Marlins put the Nats out of reach.
Wily Mo Pena was out of the starting lineup last night. His foot was badly bruised from the foul ball he lined off himself prior to hitting that homer off of Derek Lowe. Our Hero did make a pinch hitting appearance later in the night but didn't seem to be 100%.
Wily Mo Peña has done it again! His 4th home run in 8 started games a Washington National. Derek Lowe of the Los Angeles Dodgers is his latest victim as Peña took a 3-2 pitch deep in his 1st at bat.
Wily Mo, of course! Starting in his 6th game with the Nats, Peña drilled a homer to right field off Rockies Tayler Buchholz to put Washington up 5-1 over Colorado.
Wily Mo and the Nationals were set back for a 3-2 loss to the Houston Astros, last night. Woody Williams stymied the Washington hitters all night and only allowed 2 runs on a Kearns homer.
